Bio

Henri Dikongué is a Cameroonian makossa, bikutsi, reggae, and rumba singer and guitarist. Born into a musically inclined family, he initially pursued law but couldn't resist his true calling. Eventually, he enrolled in a Parisian music school, honing his skills and delving into classical guitar. His collaborations with African music legends like Manu Dibango and Papa Wemba enriched his experience. In 1995, Dikongué unveiled his debut album, "Wa," marking the inception of a remarkable musical journey. He composes his songs in French and works closely with translators to convey the lyrical themes in his native Duala language. He has released other albums that continue to enchant audiences.
