His musical journey began at a young age when he began singing and playing guitars and drums crafted from tins and strings. Simaro Massiya Lutumba Ndomanueno, widely known Simaro Lutumba, was a prominent Congolese musician, songwriter, composer, and band leader, known for his role as a rhythm guitarist in the band, TPOK Jazz. He was known as "Poet" due to his composition of the band's hit song "Mabele." Simaro was jailed by DRC authorities in the late 1970s for two obscene songs. Nevertheless, he was considered as one of the greatest poets, singers, and philosophers of Congolese music. Simaro passed away on March 30, 2019.

He was a former member of the iconic Congolese band TPOK Jazz, where he served as the lead vocalist. After the death of TPOK Jazz founder François Luambo Makiadi in 1989, Ndombe Opetum continued to play with the band until it split up in 1993. He later became a founding member of the band Bana OK. Kwaku Agyapong Danemah, better known as Dr. Paa Bobo, was a revered Ghanaian highlife musician. Born into a family with a deep musical heritage, Paa Bobo's love for music blossomed early in life. During the 1970s, he embarked on his musical journey as a member of the renowned Gye Nyame band, a beloved ensemble in Ghana. Eventually, he ventured out to establish his own musical group, Sweet Talks band, and in 1982, they unveiled their debut single "Onyame Nkrabea". Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Paa Bobo treated the world to a plethora of albums, each a testament to his extraordinary talent. His music transcended borders. Théodore Dindo Mabeli, popularly known as Dindo Yogo, was a Congolese musician who was known for his smooth and infectious sound. He began his music career as a guitarist in various local bands. In 1978, Dindo Yogo joined Papa Wemba's band, Viva La Musica, where he quickly gained fame for his soulful voice and guitar skills. He left in 1981 alongside guitarists Popolipo Zanguila, Djuna Djanana, and Kisangani Djenga. They teamed up with the trio of Evoloko Jocker, Djo Mali, and Bozi Boziana to form the Langa Langa Stars. Dindo Yogo's music tackled issues such as corruption, poverty, and injustice in Congolese society. Dindo sadly passed away in 2000 at the age of 37.
