Iba Ndiaye, a skilled Senegalese percussionist, was instrumental in the development of the mbalax music genre. He began playing drums at a young age, becoming a sought-after session musician for various popular artists in Senegal. Ndiaye played a key role in shaping the distinctive sound of the renowned music group Super Diamono De Dakar. His contributions to Senegalese music continue to inspire musicians around the world. He passed away in 2016 at the age of 58.
