Ildo Lobo was a well-known Cape Verdean singer whose father's passion for music inspired him to join the musical group Os Tubarões.  In 1994, the band disbanded after he actively performed as the vocalist for a considerable amount of time, and before starting his solo career. Following the release of his debut album, "Nôs Morna," Ildo Lobo rose to prominence both locally and abroad.
