George Harry Kymdell, professionally known as Jan Blohm, is a prominent South African poet, blues singer, songwriter, guitarist, visual artist, and founder of "Die Blohm Orkes." His artistic journey commenced at a tender age with music and piano lessons starting at 7. He further diversified his skills through training in radio broadcasting and honed his guitar craft as a self-taught musician during his time in the Air Force. In 2003, Jan Blohm embarked on a solo music career, culminating in his debut album, "Melkstraat Confessions," in 2004. Besides his musical and visual artistry, he's renowned for his role as Jan Meyer in the 2005 television drama series "Dit Wat Stom," solidifying his status as a multi-talented South African artist.
