Jessy Matador, born Jessy Kimbangi, is a Congolese musician currently based in France. He initially entered the world of arts as a dancer in 2001. He embarked on his music career with the group "Les Coeurs Brisés," performing on stages around the globe. In 2008, he created his music group (La Selesao) and achieved a summer hit with the track "Decale Gwada." Jessy Matador released his first solo album, "Elektro Soukouss," in 2010, followed by "Vemino Vedetao" in 2013 and "El Commandante" in 2019, solidifying his place in the music industry. In 2010, Jessy made history by giving France the best result in the Eurovision Song Contest. Jessy's artistic style is a fusion of various influences, drawing inspiration from African-Ivorian music, hip-hop, Jamaican dancehall, and zouk.
