Bio
John Lingwood is an accomplished English drummer and producer who began his musical journey in the 1960s, influenced by iconic bands like The Beatles and Cream. He became a professional in 1968 and, in 1972, joined Steamhammer, refining his drumming skills in two and a half years. Lingwood then explored collaborations with various bands and established himself as a sought-after studio musician. Notably, Lingwood's significant tenure with Manfred Mann's Earth Band began in 1979 and lasted until 1986, where he not only contributed his drumming skills but also co-produced their live album 'Budapest' in 1983. His collaborations extended to artists like Roger Waters and Chris Thompson. In 2016, Lingwood returned to Manfred Mann's Earth Band, to replace Jimmy Copley.
