John Ogega, also known as Johnie Magneto, is a senior sergeant who enlisted in the military in 1993 and later joined the Maroon Commandos Band. Initially a rhythm guitarist, he later became known for his solo guitar skills. Since 2019, he has served as the band leader for the Maroon Commandos' military musical band, and he has written several popular songs, including "Shika Kamba," "Dotty," "Betty," "Mwana Utajuta," and "Corona Rhumba."
