Bio
Franklin Delano Alexander Braithwaite, better known as Junior Braithwaite, was a talented Jamaican musician and one of the founding members of the iconic reggae band The Wailers. Braithwaite started his music career in the mid-1960s, performing with various local bands. In 1963, Braithwaite formed The Wailers with childhood friends Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. He contributed lead vocals to several of the band's early recordings, including "Habits," "Straight and Narrow Way," and "Don't Ever Leave Me." However, he left the band in 1964 to pursue a solo career, just as The Wailers were beginning to gain international recognition. Sadly, Braithwaite's solo career never took off, and he struggled with personal demons, including drug addiction. Sadly, he died in 1999, at the age of 46.
