He began his career as a singer and percussionist in the 1960s and became famous for his unique style, which blended traditional Yoruba genres like Apala, Sakara, and Awurebe.
He released over 20 albums over the course of his career, and his music is still popular in the Yoruba music scene today. He passed away in 2010.
