Okou Olivier Gnakouri, known professionally as Kaaris, is a Côte d'Ivoire-born French rapper. He began his career in the late 1990s under the name "Fresh." He released a few titles and worked with his brother in Côte d'Ivoire before returning to France when civil war broke out in 2003. In 2007, Kaaris released his mini-album "43rd BIMa" , which helped establish his new artist name. He signed with SACEM and released several albums, notably "Or noir" in 2013, which went gold in France.
