Kesha Charlton-Perkins rose to prominence in 2005 as a top finalist on Idols South Africa Season 3, where she became a “Viewers’ Choice” favorite. Born in Randburg, Johannesburg, her time on the show featured memorable performances of songs like “Stay” and “There You’ll Be,” highlighting her control and emotional range.
Following the show, she signed with Sony Music Africa and teamed up with Nicky de Lange (Veronique) and Deidre Visser to form the girl group NKD, named after their initials. The group gained quick attention in 2006 with their debut single “I Want Your Love,” chosen as the theme for SuperSport, followed by their album "What’s That Noise" later that year.
Beyond music, Kesha is also a marketing professional, balancing her creative work with a career in the corporate space. She remains one of the Idols alumni who successfully turned reality TV exposure into a sustained career.
