Bio
King Deetoy, born Baba John Ramokhoaseaka, is a South African DJ, producer, and electronic music creator specializing in Afrotech and Afrohouse. Since starting his musical journey in 2006, he has developed a signature style that combines intricate rhythms, layered soundscapes, and immersive beats. In 2020, he gained wider recognition with the release of "Resurrection Soul Series, Sessions 1," a project that strengthened his presence in the deep-house and Afrotech communities. His 2021 track "Petle Petle," created with Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, highlighted his ability to merge Afrotech with contemporary Amapiano influences. Later projects, including the extensive 23-track "I’m A King" (2022) and "Mę’Mê" (2023), further demonstrated his musical range, showcasing melodic complexity and rhythmic depth. Through these works, King Deetoy has established himself as an innovative artist in the electronic music scene.
