Leila Kayondo is a popular Ugandan singer, songwriter, and fashion entrepreneur recognized for her vibrant contributions to the East African Afro-pop and dancehall scenes.
She discovered her passion for music performing in school choirs before earning a social work degree from Uganda Christian University. Kayondo stepped into the national spotlight in 2007 as a member of the all-girl pop group Dream Gals, who scored major regional hits like "Weekend."
In 2009, she launched a successful solo career, striking gold with popular singles such as "Awo," "Relaxing," and the high-energy anthem "Osobola" featuring Sheebah.
