Bio

Lydia Dedei Yawson, formerly Lydia Dedei Tagoe, is a prominent figure in the gospel music industry as one-half of THE TAGOE SISTERS, a celebrated duo with a lasting legacy spanning over two decades. Originally pursuing dressmaking, she and her sister shifted gears to embrace their musical calling, founding the Tagoe Sisters in 1983 and trailblazing contemporary gospel music in Ghana under the guidance of Rev. Amoako. In 1987, they took their talent international, performing in London and releasing albums like 'Stay In My Heart' (1988) and 'Nyame Ye Kese' (1990). Lydia continues to actively collaborate with her sister, making music that transcends borders and offers hope and inspiration to audiences worldwide.
