Lyta, born Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter from Ajegunle, Lagos, with roots in Kwara State. He began developing his musical abilities through Ile Kewu, a group at his local mosque, before entering Nigeria’s professional music industry.
In 2018, Lyta joined YBNL Nation and gained wider recognition with “Time,” featuring Olamide. After leaving YBNL in 2019, he signed with Doro Musik Gang and released “Monalisa,” produced by Killertunes. The song received further attention through an official remix featuring Davido.
released his five-track debut EP, "Id," in 2019, followed by an association with Marlian Music and collaborations including “Are You Sure” with Naira Marley, EMO Grae and Zinoleesky.
His later catalogue includes "Rafat" (2022), "LEAK" (2024), and "Al-Awwal" (2025), a seven-track Afrobeats album released through Lyta/Azuri.
His repertoire spans Afrobeats and pop, addressing love, ambition, personal experiences, everyday life, and social realities.
