Maguett Diop is a Malian drummer and member of the popular band, Super Rail Band. He is a master of the traditional rhythms of West Africa, with a focus on the rhythms of Mali. He is particularly known for his skill on the djembe, a goblet-shaped drum that is played with bare hands. He has performed with several notable musicians and bands from Mali and West Africa, and has also collaborated with musicians from other genres and cultures.
