Bio
Born on the Cape Verdean island of Sal, Maria Alice started performing at home, gaining recognition from various music acts, who would help her when she eventually moved to Lisbon, Portugal and launched her professional career. Her debut album was released in 1993, and since then, she has gone on to perform at various international music festivals and be awarded the Praia Government Merit Medal.
