Marie Misamu, whose real name is Marie Misamu Ngolo, was a Congolese gospel singer, cantor, and composer. Marie Misamu began her singing career at the age of 11 and quickly gained recognition for her magnificent voice. Since then, she has released her first album, "Nazhirea, Who's That Girl?" which included the popular song "Reconnaissance," which resonated with audiences in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and beyond. She released several more successful singles and albums. Throughout her career, she collaborated with other renowned gospel musicians and toured extensively beyond her country. Marie Misamu's talent extended beyond music, as she was a stylist, model maker, seamstress, and decorator. Sadly, she passed away on January 16, 2016, in Kinshasa.
