Bio
Maureen Kabasita, also known as Maureen K., is a Ugandan artist from the Banyoro/Mutooro ethnic group. She began her music journey in church choirs and gained national attention after reaching the top five in 'Tusker Project Fame' Season 3. As lead vocalist of Entebbe’s Fusion Band, she embraced Afro-fusion, gospel, R&B, and jazz. After leaving the band in 2015, she pursued a solo career, releasing tracks like “Gwe Wannonda” and “Akanya Nkasi.” A born-again Christian, Maureen now focuses on gospel music. Her personal life, including motherhood, legal disputes, and spiritual struggles, has also drawn significant public attention.
