Mwinshehe's musical journey began in school where he played the flute and sang in the Morogoro Jazz band.
In 1964, he officially joined the band as a guitarist.
Over the next nine years, he became a prominent contributor, writing and performing popular songs like "Sina Makosa," "Mwana," and "Kilimanjaro."
In 1973, Mwinshehe relocated to Kenya and established his own band, Orchestre Super Volcano.
The band soared to fame across East Africa, solidifying Mwinshehe's position as one of the region's most celebrated musicians.
His exceptional voice and captivating songwriting talent set him apart.
Mwinshehe's impactful career was cut short at the age of 34. However, his legacy lives on through his timeless music that continues to resonate with audiences.
