Atim Hope Clara, known as MC Clara, is a Ugandan hip-hop artist born in Kampala in 1989. She began making waves in 2012 through battle rap and underground shows, where her bold delivery and sharp lyrics stood out.
Mentored by GNL Zamba, she refined her style and in 2013 released her debut single “Go Gal,” which won Best Female Hip-Hop Song at the 2014 HiPipo Music Awards. Tracks like “True Love,” “Cry of the Nations,” “Ma Breath,” and “Dance on the Floor” have since strengthened her presence.
She has performed with Navio, Atlas, and GNL Zamba, toured Kenya and Rwanda, and even shared a stage with U.S. artists at the invitation of Ambassador Scott H. Delisi.
MC Clara continues to command attention in Ugandan hip-hop with fearless energy and a voice that pushes boundaries.
