Mdoovar, born Mduduzi Memela, is a South African DJ and self-taught producer from Soweto. Influenced by maskwandi, soul, and jazz and inspired by his late grandfather, Mdoovar embarked on his DJ career in 2007, performing in various Johannesburg clubs. Simultaneously, he pursued a diploma in software development and worked in the IT industry for five years. In 2022, Mdoovar gained acclaim for producing the hit single "uMlando" in collaboration with 9umba and Toss. With his journey reflecting resilience and dedication, Mdoovar has established himself as a sort-after DJ and music producer in the South African music scene.
