Meklit Hadero is an Ethiopian vocalist, songwriter, and composer renowned for her captivating Ethio-Jazz songs. She has performed in cities across the globe, from Addis Ababa to San Francisco, NYC, Nairobi, Cairo, and London. Meklit is a National Geographic Explorer, TED Senior Fellow, and Harvard Artist-in-Residence. She has collaborated with Kronos Quartet, Andrew Bird, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Pee Wee Ellis. Meklit is also co-founder of Movement, a radio series and live show exploring global migration through music.

    Moses Taiwa Molelekwa was a talented South African Jazz pianist. He began playing the piano at a young age, and quickly developed a unique style that blended traditional South African rhythms with jazz and other contemporary influences. Molelekwa's music was known for its intricate harmonies, rhythmic complexity, and melodic beauty. He released his first album, titled "Finding One's Self", in 1995, which was followed by several other successful albums. Throughout his career, Molelekwa received numerous awards and accolades, including the South African Music Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album in 1998 and 2001. He was also a featured performer at the North Sea Jazz Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival, among others. Tragically, Molelekwa died in 2001, at the age of 27.

    Mabuse was raised in Soweto. His father was Tswana, while his mother was Zulu. Solly Nkuta used to be Sipho and his band's manager. Mabuse began performing with the Afro-soul group the Beaters in the middle of the 1970s after quitting school in the 1960s. They altered the name of the group to Harari, an afrosoul band lead by Mabuse, following a successful tour of Zimbabwe. When they moved back to South Africa, they started to rely almost entirely on American-style funk, soul, and pop songs that were sung in Zulu and Sotho in addition to English. Along with these artists, he has also produced and recorded music for Sibongile Khumalo,Hugh Masekela, and Miriam Makeba. He still gives regular performances.
