Modibo Diabaté is a Malian musician and singer. He is a accomplished performer of the traditional music of Mali, particularly the music of the Wassoulou region. He is known for his powerful and emotive singing voice, as well as his skillful playing of the kamale ngoni, a traditional lute-like instrument. He is known for promoting the traditional music of Mali and for using his music to bring attention to social and political issues in his country.
