    Sur-Choc is a music group from Côte d'Ivoire. The Frères Gazeurs were originally four kids from the ghettos of Abidjan. They used a cappella singing, djembe and a bell to play "ambiance facile" (easy groove), a traditional-modern style. Since 1987, they have been playing under the name of Sur-Choc (over-shock): percussionist Henri-Jacques Kipré, two singers (Privat and Feu Sergent) and Dékiss, the group's leader and creator of the Gnakpa Gnakpa dance style. Between 1990 and 2002, the four chalked up six albums of Zouglou music, the pop style that grew from 'ambiance facile'. In 2003, Sur-Choc released the album "Magnum". Their seventh album was accompanied by a new dance step called "coupé-décalé". The track "Fou Ho" was featured on the soundtrack of the FIFA Street 2005 game.

    Guy Lobè, whose real name doubles as his stage name, was a Cameroonian singer, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist well-known for singing the makossa genre. He started performing music in school before performing at major cabarets in the city. In 1984, he released his debut album, "Dégager," which was followed by his second, "Mon amie à moi," in 1986. He was well-known in Africa and abroad and was said to have collaborated with prominent artists globally before his passing in 2015.

    Soule Ngofo Man is a Congolese musician, singer, and songwriter born into a musical family. In 1980, he founded the "Bakula Se Likolo" orchestra. Transitioning to a solo career in 1988, his first album with Lokasa Ya Mbongo, titled Miguel Yamba, unfortunately, remained unreleased due to financial constraints. In 1993, the magical duo of Jean Claude Francois, and Soule Ngofo Man gave birth to the explosive group "Soukouss and Co," captivating audiences in different parts of the world. In 1994, aided by the group TOP SOUKOUSS, he released his first solo album. From 2002 onwards, he continued to release thoughtful songs addressing societal issues in the country.

    Alain Makaba is a singer, songwriter, arranger, and guitarist. Hailing from DR Congo, he is known as a founding member of the group Wenge Musica. His songs Tuna Tina, Tchane, Nadangwe, Wemina, and Princesse Pathy are well recognized. He made contributions to popular albums, including Kin E. Bouge and Titanic. He studied at Notre Dame de Mbanza-Boma, a Catholic boarding school in Bas-Congo, where he picked up the guitar from his Wenge Musica classmates. Alain recorded his debut solo album, Pile ou Face, in 1995 while on the Pentagon tour with Wenge Musica.

    Rambo Bleckyss, is known for his soulful vocals and Bongo rhythms. He has established himself in African music as a multi-instrumentalist and talented songwriter, blending traditional and modern sounds. Rambo started playing bongos at a young age. He practised and formed "Les Lézards Sauvages" ("The Wild Lizards"). They became popular locally, earning Rambo the nickname "Bleckyss," meaning "lightning" in Cameroonian pidgin, for his fast bongo playing. Rambo rose to national fame with his 2002 debut album, "Muna Njoh" ("My Daughter"). The title track, a touching tribute to his daughter, showcased his emotional depth and powerful vocals. After this, he released several successful albums, including "Africa Mia" ("My Africa") and "Ballade des Rois Bongo" ("Ballad of the Bongo Kings").
