Job Seda, also known as Ayub Ogada was an iconic Kenyan singer, and famous for using Nyatiti, an eight-stringed traditional lyre. He has directed films like Borom Touba (2001), Le Serviteur privilégié du prophète (2007), and Has God Forsaken Africa? (2007).

Diogal Sakho, mononymously known as Diogal, is a self-taught Senegalese singer and musician born in Ngor, Dakar.
