Her first introduction to music was by her mother, a pianist, who took her to performances. Brenda later moved to Soweto, a decision which was the turning point of her music career.
Before her demise, Brenda had released over 22 albums, 19 singles & EPs and about 17 compilations. Her hit songs include Vuli Ndlela, Weekend Special, to mention a few.
