Her musical career commenced in 1954 when she began her journey as an apprentice under Kaletin Soye, the leader of the Alasatu group. She also served as one of Soye's backup singers in Ijebu Ode. Alhaja Batile Alake adopted the chanting mode known as Rara, a genre typically associated with Yoruba women. Notably, Alhaja Batile Alake made history as the first Waka musician to produce an album. In 1956, she established her music group, contributing significantly to the popularization of the Waka genre during the 1950s and 1960s, and this was her most active years. Unfortunately, she passed away in August 2013.
