Mwasiti Almas Nyangasa, known mononymously as Mwasiti, is a Tanzanian singer-songwriter-performer known for her distinct blend of Afropop, Zouk, and Bongo Flava music. She began her career in 2006, when she joined Tanzania House of Talent and released her first single, "Nambie," which was nominated twice for Tanzania Music Awards. She rose to prominence with her hit single "Nalivua Pendo," which topped the radio charts for eight weeks in a row and won "Best Zouk Song" at the 2009 Tanzania Music Awards.
