Nel Oliver, born Finagnon Gbènoukpo Noël Ahouno, is a celebrated Beninese singer, composer, and producer widely known for his hit song "Baby Girl. He began his musical journey at 12, joining an orchestra, and later moved to France, where he established himself as a solo artist and sound engineer. Nel's 1981 hit "In the Heart of the ghetto" propelled him to fame, leading to collaborations with renowned artists and the founding of Spade Music Studio. Nel received numerous awards, including being knighted in the National Order of Benin and a trophy for best composition of Song for Peace among others. Beyond his musical achievements, he's actively involved in social causes, promoting health awareness.
