Belmiro Antonio Carlos, better known as Nito, is a renowned Angolan guitarist, composer, and instrumentalist. Nito started his music career as a percussionist, playing congas and drums with various groups, including Os Morenos do Bairro Marçal in 1969. Later, he transitioned to playing the guitar and joined the ensemble Bossa 70. In 1972, he became a member of the group África Ritmos, followed by the ensemble Africa Show in 1973, and Kissanguela in 1975. Nito has released several albums over the years as a solo artist and has worked with numerous artists, both nationally and internationally. He is considered one of the most important figures in Angolan music and has made significant contributions to the development of the genre.
