    Sasha Sonnbichler, a multifaceted talent in the realm of jazz, hails from Johannesburg, South Africa. His diverse skill set spans jazz guitar performance, arrangement, and education. Notably, he held the position of Musical Director at Parktown High School for Girls and furthermore served as the Creative Director of Music for The Outreach Foundation in Hillbrow. Sasha's educational journey led him to Berklee College of Music, where he earned a master's certificate in music arrangement, and subsequently to the American Institute of Music. He received recognition with a nomination at the South African Music Awards (SAMA). In 2002, he unveiled his debut album, "Ndaa," under BMG Africa's Giant Steps label. Following this success, his second album, "Tan Huts," was released through Beyond the Box Music.

    At 8 years old,in Niger State, Nigeria, at his local church he started playing musical instruments. He was a member of the Boys Brigade band. In 1995, with some basic lessons, he concentrated on the saxophone. A year later, he became a member of House on the Rock's music team playing alongside Nigerian gospel artist Sammie Okposo, Agboola Shadare, Gbenga Owoeye-Wise and others. He had a series of appearances at venues in Nigeria including Pintos, The Green Lion, Club Towers, K's Place and Mega Plaza's Dome. He completed session work for Onyeka Onwenu, Nigerian reggae artist Ras Kimono and Fuji music artist Wasiu Ayinde Marshall.[2][3]

    Cheikh Lô's dreadlocks and amulet are a signature look for the Senegal-born musician and drummer. His more than four decades old dreadlocks are evidence of him belonging to Baye Fall, a Senegal Muslim sect. Born Cheikh N'Digel Lô, the artiste started his career as a drummer and joined Volta Jazz, a music band. The group was later disbanded, then he went to work with a transport company. Cheikh Lô would later work with Papa Wemba before recording and releasing his own albums.
