Noura Mint Seymali is a Mauritanian griot, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. Born into a family of highly influential musicians, Noura Mint Seymali started composing for her mother at the age of 13 while learning how to play the ardin and perform from family members. She has gone on to make a name for herself in Mauritania and perform at various music festivals across the world, performing music she considers non-political.
