Bio
Growing up in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, her early connection to church music built discipline and a strong foundation for her future career. At fifteen, she joined Joyous Celebration, gaining early experience in live recordings, touring, and performing before large audiences, which strengthened her confidence on stage. Her solo journey began in 2001 with the release of Bambelela, marking the start of a steady recording career with several notable projects over the years. Albums such as "Filled," "Spirit and Life," "Moments in Time," and "Lavish Worship" expanded her catalogue, with "Filled" reaching multi-platinum status in South Africa. Her work has earned recognition through several awards, including South African Music Awards, Crown Gospel Music Awards, and African Gospel Music and Media Awards. She has also contributed to television as a judge on I Want to Sing Gospel and participated in Idols South Africa. She is married to Nqubeko Mbatha and collaborates musically together.
