Orlando Julius, Born Orlando Julius Ekemode, was a Nigerian saxophonist, vocalist, bandleader, and songwriter who is widely connected to afrobeat music. With juju and konkoma bands, Julius began his career with drums and flute. He later learned the saxophone and began playing highlife music. He started his own band, The Afro Sounders, and released several albums and singles. Orlando passed away on April 14, 2022 though his contributions to the development of Afrobeat (a fusion of African and Western musical genres) remains.

During his lifetime Tohon released over 27 albums including "Parakou" (1985) and "Born To Shine" (2007). He passed away in 2019, leaving a legacy as one of Benin's most influential musical figures.

    Bentho Gustave "Titiou" is a Beninese bassist and composer who gained fame as a former member of the legendary T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo. He began his musical career in the 1960s as a member of the Super Star de Ouidah band before co-founding the Poly-Rhythmo de Cotonou orchestra in 1968. Titiou is a talented composer, guitarist, and bass player, and his contributions to the band's music helped to shape its unique sound. In 1978, Titiou recorded his only solo album "Le Disque D'Or", with evergreen singles such as "Agnon Djidjo" and "Gbê Sou Vê Gnin" showcasing his exceptional talent as a musician.
