Bio
P Jay, whose real name was Brian Cheengwa, was a renowned Zambian musician. His music career began in 2001 as a rapper, miming songs by artists from his generation, including Daddy Zemus and PK Chishala. P Jay gained recognition with the release of his first hit single titled "Nyengelele" in 2008, which introduced him to the music scene in Zambia. He was known for his vocal ability and was often compared to the late American hip-hop star Nate Dogg for his talent in turning almost every song into a hit. P Jay was one of Zambia's most popular musicians, but unfortunately, he passed away at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka at the age of 30.
