Jandira Sassingui Neto, widely known by her stage name Pérola, is a renowned multi-award-winning Angolan singer and songwriter. Pérola began her musical journey performing in church choirs and local events from a young age. Her major break came in 2006 when she participated in the "Unitel Estrelas ao Palco" competition, where she emerged as the winner. Pérola's music style is a unique blend of soul, R&B, and pop, and her lyrics talk about her experiences and the social issues facing Angolan society. She has released several successful albums, including "Mais de Mim" (2012), "Galaxia" (2015), and "Fogo e Desejo" (2018). In addition to her music career, Pérola is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Angola and an advocate for children's rights.
