Penelope Jane Powers, popularly known as PJ Powers, is a South African singer and performer. She is renowned for both her soulful songs and her strong vocals. With 15 albums under her belt, she has received various honors, including the South African Music Award for Lifetime Achievement. In the 1980s, she made her professional debut as the lead singer of the rock band Hotline. She continued to pursue a solo career when the band broke up. There Is an Answer, Woman of Africa, and Jabulani are just a few of the successful tunes she has released.
