Bio
Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, known professionally as Patoranking, is a Nigerian musician whose work spans dancehall, reggae, afrobeats, and genge. Born and raised in Ijegun Egba, Lagos State, he built a foundation in reggae and dancehall before expanding into a broader range of contemporary African sounds. His rise began with "Alubarika" featuring Timaya, before "Girlie O" became a breakout hit in 2014, earning Best Reggae/Dancehall Single at The Headies while he won Next Rated at the Nigeria Entertainment Award. His albums "God Over Everything" (2016), "Wilmer" (2019), "Three" (2020), and "WORLD BEST" (2023) strengthened his international profile, with "Wilmer" reaching No. 5 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. Throughout his career, Patoranking has collaborated with Davido, Sarkodie, Major Lazer, and Buju Banton, establishing himself as one of Africa's most globally recognized dancehall and afrobeats artists. Beyond recording and performing, he has also earned recognition for his philanthropic initiatives through the Patoranking Foundation.
