His self-titled debut album "Jo Bisso" on Disques Espérance in 1975 highlighted his musical abilities, fusing jazz, funk, soul, and Afro rhythms in English and his native tongue. Jo's eight-year stint as a cultural ambassador in Ivory Coast preceded his move to Paris as a visionary who owned and produced his music.
