Petit Miguelito, born Ghislain Toffohossou François Miguel in Cotonou, Benin, is a salsa and rumba singer deeply influenced by the legacy of his late father, the musician Miguelito. Though he lost his father as an infant, the emotional connection inspired his musical journey and stage name. Self-taught and determined, he rose to fame after being discovered by Guru Records, releasing his debut album "Du père au fils" in 2006, followed by successful albums "Confirmation" and "La Prophétie", featuring the hit "Mon Bébé." After years of touring and acclaim, he took a nearly decade-long hiatus before returning with the singles “Dédji” (2022) and “Doée” (2023). Known for heartfelt themes and a blend of Afro-zouk, salsa, and rumba, Petit Miguelito’s work reflects resilience, cultural pride, and a deep sense of purpose.
