Joé Ngoie Mwema, professionally known as RJ Kanierra, is a versatile artist from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Initially a junior champion in athletics, he transitioned to music in 1999. Despite family disagreements, he embraced a professional music career in 2006, releasing successful albums like "The Thirteen Laws of the Jungle" and "99," addressing social and political issues. Known for his blend of R&B and hip-hop, Kanierra is recognized as one of the most popular urban artists in the southern DRC. His achievements include opening for international artists and becoming the first urban artist to perform in a stadium. In his 2022 album, "13," he collaborates with musicians across Africa, solidifying his influence in the DRC and beyond.
