Ramazani "Remmy" Mtoro Ongala was a Tanzanian guitarist and singer known for his contributions to the soukous music scene and addressing social issues through his music. He helped spread the soukous style through his band, Orchestre Super Matimila. He was nicknamed "Dr Remmy" for his inspiring message in music dealing with equality and justice, reflecting Tanzanian nationalism. Due to complicated health challenges Remmy passed in December 2010.
