Bio
Renah Elsah Nalumansi, affectionately known as “Uganda’s Sweetheart,” began her musical journey in Kampala, discovering her passion during school at Lugoba Parents and Lubiri Secondary. She rose to fame in 2006 as part of Dream Galz, an all-female group managed by Eddy Yawe. After their hit "Weekend" and the group’s split, Renah launched a solo career with Suudi Entertainment and later Switdrim Music, managed by Justin Bas, whom she married in 2016. Her breakout track, "Ontambuzza," was followed by "Nyongera," "Kasooto," and the popular "Omukwano Gwo." Subsequent hits like "Ndi Mugumu," "Nakuwaza," and "Shaka Zulu" defined her soulful sound. After welcoming two children, she returned with her band, Renah N’Band, and released BOYi in 2022. That same year, she survived a serious car accident but continued undeterred, resilient, radiant, and vocally compelling.
