Riaan van Rensburg is a South African session musician, self-taught drummer, and percussionist. He's a member of the acclaimed music group Boo!, replacing Leon Retief, and has contributed significantly to the band's success. Born into a musical family, Riaan's love for music began at a young age. He started playing at his parents' shows and tours during his teenage years. His professional career started as a session musician, and he's worked with some of the most prominent South African artists. Riaan specialized in African rhythms and initially focused on the African Jazz market. Over the years, he has played different music genres. Riaan's motto as a drummer/percussionist has always been to be as versatile as possible and adapt to any situation.
