Kamenga Koyabote, popularly known by her moniker Jolie Dettaa, is a Congolese singer/dancer with a heavenly voice. She stayed with TPOK Jazz long enough to sing two songs, Masso and Layile, which are among the most memorable TP OK Jazz songs. Franco, for the first time in 1986, made a recording with a female artiste. Jolie Detta is the daughter of a Greek father and a Zairean mother. She had previously sung with CHOC stars. The album catapulted Detta to instant fame. In 1986, she accompanied Franco on a tour of Kenya, where she performed to the delight of Kenyan fans who loved Massu and Layile. She would later leave to join Anti Choc, where she sang duets with Bozi Boziana.

Kwaku Agyapong Danemah, better known as Dr. Paa Bobo, was a revered Ghanaian highlife musician. Born into a family with a deep musical heritage, Paa Bobo's love for music blossomed early in life. During the 1970s, he embarked on his musical journey as a member of the renowned Gye Nyame band, a beloved ensemble in Ghana. Eventually, he ventured out to establish his own musical group, Sweet Talks band, and in 1982, they unveiled their debut single "Onyame Nkrabea". Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Paa Bobo treated the world to a plethora of albums, each a testament to his extraordinary talent. His music transcended borders. Sadly, his life was tragically cut short in 2013, but his musical legacy endures, cherished by dedicated fans worldwide.

Pascal-Emmanuel Sinamoyi Tabu, better known by his moniker Seigneur Tabu, was a prolific singer-songwriter and took a specialty in African rumba. Hailing from the Congo Democratic Republic, he led the Orchestre Afrisa International and was one of Africa's most influential vocalists and prolific songwriters of his time. Tabu Ley pioneered soukous (African rumba) along with guitarist Dr. Nico Kasanda and internationalized his music by joining elements of Congolese folk music with Latin American rumba, Cuban, and Caribbean. He has been described as the Congolese personality who marked Africa's 20th-century history, along with Mobutu. Throughout his career, Tabu Ley composed up to 3,000 songs and produced 250 albums.

Sunday "Bolivia" Ileghieuma Osigbemhe was a talented musician from the former Western region of Nigeria. He had a gift for harnessing the folksongs of his community, and quickly became known for his unique style of rearranging the lyrics. He formed a local choral troupe and recorded over 58 albums. Bolivia was an all-round instrumentalist, starting with the trumpet, guitar, and keyboard, and had a compelling vocal diction that could move one into an emotional freezing point. Sadly, Bolivia passed away on January 25, 1991.

Nico Mbarga, known as Prince Nico Mbarga, was a renowned Cameroonian-Nigerian highlife musician. Mbarga played multiple instruments such as xylophone, conga, and drums. He began his musical journey in school bands and debuted professionally with the Melody Orchestra in 1970. He gained fame for his hit song "Sweet Mother" with his band Rocafil Jazz, which became the best-selling song in African recording history. Despite recording only one major hit, "Sweet Mother", selling over 13 million copies, Mbarga played a vital role in the evolution of African popular music. He achieved success with regional hits like "I No Go Marry My Papa" with his band before recording "Sweet Mother." Although Mbarga's later career didn't match his early triumphs, he left a lasting legacy with his iconic song.
