Roger Lucey, a versatile artist from South Africa, has made significant contributions as a musician, journalist, filmmaker, actor, and educator. He gained widespread recognition in the late 1970s and early 1980s for his thought-provoking protest songs that denounced the oppressive Apartheid system in his homeland. Despite being on the radar of the South African government for his anti-apartheid music, they made attempts to derail his career. Despite this adversity, Lucey has recorded five albums while also composing scores for numerous documentaries and plays.

His musical journey began as a child and In 1990, he began playing the drums. He co-founded the band "Jazz it all" during this time. In 2000, he ventured into music production, with an internship at Bruce Odhiambo's Johari Clef Studio. He also served as the music director for Eric Wainaina and released his debut album, "Keys Of Life." He gained recognition in 2008 when he won the Best Jazz Collaboration Album at the Kwetu Mzanzi Jazz Awards. Throughout his career, he has toured extensively and performed at numerous concerts.

He is notably known as the founder of "Noble Adu Kwasi & His Sweet Sound Band." He was also a member of the bands Gay Brothers Band and The Happy Stars. One of his notable songs is Akwankwaa Hiani and is very popular in Ghana.

Peterson Tusubira Mutebi was a renowned Ugandan artist who pioneered the unique musical genre "kadonkam." He started his musical journey at a young age, reinterpreting songs by notable musicians. Engaging actively in school choirs, he eventually led one and went on to form musical groups such as The Blue Regions and later The Squares. During the '70s and '80s, he and The Tames band dominated Uganda's pop music scene. Despite the challenges of the era, his recordings sold well, earning him the endearing nickname "Amata Agatafa". Notably, Mutebi was among Uganda's early producers of music on LP discs, and he remained optimistic about the future of Ugandan music despite the homeland's instability. Sadly, Peterson T. Mutebi passed away in 1992, leaving behind a legacy.
