Roli Paterson was a Nigerian musician and member of the famous afro-rock band, The Funkees. He began his musical career as a bongo player in the late 1960s. He joined The Funkees band in the early 1970s and quickly established himself as a key member of the group. As a bongo player, Roli Paterson was known for his unique style and ability to blend traditional Nigerian rhythms with modern funk and rock beats. He also contributed to the band's sound.
