Bio

Born Ronald Freedman, Ronnie Robot is a South African bass player and musician. His early years included involvement in bands like the League of Gentlemen and Freedom's Children. However, he gained widespread recognition as a member of the influential South African rock band Rabbitt, which he joined in 1974 alongside Trevor Rabin. Rabbitt's lineup later included Duncan Faure, propelling them to immense popularity in South Africa, marked by front-page headlines and fan hysteria. Internal pressures and Trevor Rabin's departure led to the band's dissolution. Following the Rabbitt's disbandment, Ronnie briefly pursued music production and publishing. While his current endeavors remain less known, he continues to reside in South Africa, maintaining a private life.
